Hero

Youth Volunteer Opportunities:

We are offering 30 youth volunteers the opportunity to play an active role in ensuring the successful outcome of COP28, by working at the Innovation Zone at COP28 in Dubai. This once in a lifetime opportunity will give you the opportunity to meet your climate heroes in person, including climate leaders from the UN, Governments, Youth Voices, NGOs, and Business.

Please read the below criteria carefully to make sure you are able to meet our requirements before you apply to be a Volunteer with us.

What does it mean to be a Youth Volunteer with Climate Action?

You will required to undertake various duties assigned to you, including welcoming guests, supporting workshop room management, helping with side event set up and delivery, ushering speakers between the speaker room and stages, and generally being there as an extension of our team, to help ensure the overall success of the event.

  • As this work is on an unpaid Volunteer basis (there is no pay / remuneration for your work) but we will provide you with lunch each day.

  • After the event, you will be issued with a Certificate of Participation for the Innovation Zone at COP28, which you will be able to add to your Curriculum Vitae and LinkedIn profile.

  • If you are sure that you can meet all the required criteria, please complete the Application Form.

  • If have been shortlisted, you will be contacted via email by a member of the Climate Action team who will arrange a brief 10 minute screening call on MS teams.

  • Be sure to approach the screening call as an interview, in a quiet, light place, wearing the dress code required for the event.

  • Not all shortlisted candidates will be successful.

  • If you have not heard from us by 24th November please consider your application unsuccessful. Each year we are inundated with Volunteers so it is very challenging to get back to every applicant.
