COP28 will see the culmination of the Global Stocktake (GST), a moment to evaluate the progress of the Paris Agreement. The GST will enhance transparency and accountability driving ambitious commitments and highlighting optimum climate action pathways. We will require unprecedented multi-sector collaboration to make this the turning point for climate action in this critical decade.

Small Island States are among those most vulnerable and disproportionally affected by climate change. Support must be unparalleled for these states and regions, with further international cooperation required to ensure the survival and well-being of these nations.

As urbanisation accelerates, climate change intensifies. With dense populations and high emissions, we must move at speed and scale at the sub-national level to alleviate both the impact of climate change and the impact on our health.
