Founder, AnchorBridge Environmental Inc.
Yemi Knight is an Environmental Sociologist and Human rights advocate. Over the years they have advocated and made written contributions on salmon protection, social justice, and climate action planning all the while being a full time NCAA student athlete for the University of Alaska Anchorage. Briefly (for a year and a half), they managed a start-up controlled environment hydroponic greenhouse with a goal of enhancing food security, while reducing the harm traditional agriculture has on the environment. To date they are a contributor to the Anchorage Climate Action Plan, which is a strategic framework for reducing greenhouse gas emissions and adapting to the impacts of climate change. Yemi has done considerable work around the formation of the new Charter of Barbados with the successful addition of detailed provisions for environmental protections. Currently Yemi is working to include comprehensive environmental provisions into the new Barbados constitution.
