Ms Siosinamele Lui is a Climate Traditional Knowledge expert working with National Meteorological Services and NGO's in the Pacific to document and integrate traditional knowledge on weather, climate, disaster risk and resilience techniques into Community-Based Early Warning (CBEWS) and National Warning Systems to enhance community resilience. She has worked for Samoa's Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MNRE) in the areas of conservation and meteorological services for more than 12 years after an internship with the South Pacific Applied Geoscience Commission (SOPAC) project on Reducing Vulnerability in the Pacific. She is the current lead on the Climate Traditional Knowledge component for the Climate and Oceans Support Program in the Pacific (COSPPac) Project, an Australian Government funded project and has co-authored numerous publications in this area as part of this program.
