Christine Samwaroo is an Indo Guyanese, intersectional, and Caribbean Climate Feminist. She is the Founder and Managing Director of The Breadfruit Collective, a Gender and Environmental Justice organisation based in Guyana that executes work at the intersections of Climate Justice, SRHR, Transformative Education, Mental Health, Youth Development, and Gender Based Violence. She is a part of the core team for the Global Fund for Women Caribbean Advisory Council. Christine co-authored a children's book on climate change and health called 'The Sprouts and the Mystery of the Flood'. She is the Programme Coordinator and Mentor under the GirlsCARE Jamaica Young Women's Climate Change Programme. She serves as one of the Coordinators of the Guyana Gender Hub. Christine was selected as Co-Chair for the Gender Working Group as part of the Caribbean Natural Resources Institute - CANARI's Caribbean Climate Justice Alliance. Annually, she coordinates the Caribbean Women for Climate Justice (CW4CJ) conference. Christine has a master's degree in environmental policy and Sustainability Management from The New School.
