Dr. Catherine Jadot is a highly experienced marine biologist and environmental consultant with a passion for sustainability. She holds a Ph.D. in Marine Biology from the University of Liège in Belgium, a M.Sc. in Oceanography from the University of Liège, a M.Sc. in Biology from the University of Louvain-La-Neuve in Belgium, and a post-graduate degree in Sustainability Leadership from Harvard University.
Dr. Jadot has over 20 years of experience working in the field of marine conservation and climate change adaptation. She has worked with various universities, government agencies, and non-profit organizations in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and the Caribbean. Her work has focused on a variety of topics, including the blue economy, blue finances, coral reef resilience, mangrove restoration, and climate change adaptation.
Dr. Jadot is currently based in Florida and works primarily with Elemental Solutions, a leading environmental consulting firm. She is the lead consultant for several E.U programs and works with the governments of 25 small island nations around the world to develop strategies to become more resilient to climate change.
Dr. Jadot is also an active member of the international community, serving as an Advisory Board Member for BLUE OCEAN FUTURE (BOF) and a board member of Seaweed First.
In recent years, Dr Jadot has focused on identifying funding opportunities to protect biodiversity. For example, in 2022, she worked in Saudi Arabia on developing monetization strategies for the natural assets of the world's largest regenerative tourism project and worked on setting up their Natural Capital Accounting portfolio.
