Carbon removals: What goes up must now come down

08 Dec 2023
Climate Action Stage

How can we ensure that they are never an excuse for business as usual in fossil fuels or delaying deep decarbonisation, but instead enable us to increase climate ambition and bring climate justice to underserved communities? This session explores how setting a separate target for carbon removals could be a game-changer for achieving all of these goals.
